Hi all,

How do you read the bet/ bet/ bet line of the button in this spot?

BTN Player2 (3,854) 48bb
SB Player3 (2,669) 33bb
BB Hero (2,765) 35bbBlinds: 40/80 Ante 10
Pre-Flop: (210, 9 players) Hero is BB 6♦ A♣

6 folds, Player2 raises to 200, 1 fold, Hero calls 120

Flop: 2♥ A♠ 8♣ (530, 2 players)
Hero checks, Player2 bets 200, Hero calls 200
Turn: 4♥ (930, 2)
Hero checks, Player2 bets 400, Hero calls 400
River: 5♠ (1,730, 2)
Hero checks, Player2 bets 960, Hero folds
Final Pot: 2,690
Player2 wins 3,650 (net +1,880)
Hero lost 810

I have only abour 50 hands of him and he is a SuperNova.

I think that he does not have tons of bluffs with this line hence my fold on the river.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Best regards,
Arabadjiev

Hey Arabadjiev,
I think 3 barrels here means, most of the time, at least TPGK. I mean, not many hands would call on this flop, so is reasonable for villain start betting a bit low otf, than keep increasing his bets all the way to the river (with a good sizeable bet).
Me, would find a fold on the turn.

I would consider to 3bet bluff pre-flop, because it’s difficult to play a weak off suite A post-flop OOP.

As played I would most likely fold the turn as well. You are only catching a bluff on this point and don’t think he will do that often on a pretty dry board.

I think defending A6o in this spot is ok.
Flop : call definitely. Turn : two guys before me suggested fold here, but i still can find a call here, especially on this bet sizing.
River : It depends on the player. If he is doing that only with TP or better than no doubt you should fold. But if he has some Second Pair hands in his range than the situation is 50/50 , if we added some bluffs ( maybe missed flush draws), than the situation is more to call. But without that kind of info for his range i prefer fold.
