Calling all the way??

When a fish is donking this big on all streets he usually has 2pair+. Unless the player is a super aggro fish.

You played it proper. Hard to fold on the river when the 3 pairs, just unlucky that he limped with a very unpredictable hand.

It's hard to put him on any reasonable range that beats you. I'd call all the way down including river just like you. In addition any of possible draws didn't complete.

I prefer to lead with TPTK just to see where I stand against the fishes range and uncover his monster. I would have raised the flop.

Maybe-maybe river could be a fold vs a passive guy, but not with no information...
9T, QT, all FDs, and Kxs could be the villain range.

Villain makes heavy donks. At least river is a fold.

Limp/call and overbet donk... I think he could play AA,KK,JJ fishy pre. He might have hit 2pair also. Calling flop is ok but I'm not so sure about turn. I think folding turn would be ok. If we have info that villain is a aggro maniac we can calldown but otherwise I would fold at least OTR.

Raise him OTF. You can raise a wide range of hands when being donked. I do it too nowadays and have not found much trouble with it. However, I have yet to observe my full analysis of raising when being donked but I believe it is profitable for me right now.

You can then safely fold OTT since he will re-raise you with 2p.

This might work better if we are multiway since ppl have wider donking range. Here I don't like raising so much. Villain overbets the flop, it has good fold equity and if we call he should slow down with his air OTT and then we can stab him. By raising we end up playing in a huge pot with TPTK and if he calls we isolate ourselves against sets most likely.

Raising flop with bluff catchers is bad versus good and bad donkers alike is bad. Donking big is an excellent play to exploit regulars because they so often misread it. A good donker will invariably reraise any flop raise (with bluffs and nuts). He wants you to raise. Then you have to fold. By calling you put him in a much more difficult spot, because your range is still intact. The bad donker (the one who might donk a pair of jacks here) is just folding to a raise.

That said, river is a clear fold. By calling you get exploited by fish, not the other way around (bad players flop good hands as well). Whether turn is a fold is up to you. I am folding myself.

As long as I don't have any specific maniac reads I am folding the river at least too. There's no reason to go broke here, and much better reasons to look for a better spot. The problem is that if a guy limps we kinda have to assume first that he's more of the passive category. There are just a few guys who go crazy postflop. Thus, without any reads (assuming we are folding the river) I would already muck the turn. Looks super nutted imo
