Hi,
today I had good fish, but really it looked that he owns me. Lost at NL10 35 $ in 400 hands.
He was 46/31, 3bet 25 (7/28), 3bet vs BTN 38 (3/8), afq 70, cbet flop 67, 74 hands
Tried to 4bet, but he 5beted or called. Then decided not to do so, because it looked imposible. Maybe shoving would work vs him (we were deep). But did not want to risk to spew money without knowing.
Saw him cbeting pot with GS, and various bluffs. Also slowplaying nut hands. But anyway I want to know how in general to play vs those.
Tighten up my range a lot and just really have good hands?
For example hand:
PokerStars - $0.10 Ante $0.02 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4
BB: 142 BB
UTG: 109.9 BB
Hero (CO): 247.5 BB
BTN: 262.4 BB
SB: 393.9 BB
SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB, 5 players post ante of 0.2 BB
Pre Flop: (pot: 2.5 BB) Hero has 9♣ K♠
fold, Hero raises to 2 BB, fold, SB raises to 5 BB, fold, Hero calls 3 BB
Flop: (12 BB, 2 players) 5♠ 8♥ 7♦
SB bets 8 BB, Hero raises to 21.7 BB, SB raises to 35.4 BB, fold
SB wins 52.9 BB
K9o looks good hand vs his loose range. I started minraiseing weak hands to have good odds to call 3bet. THouth he has much air, I can outplay postflop.
Now here I have ok flop vs his range for a bluff. And he 3bets
95% that he has bluff here. But what to do vs those? 4bet? Maybe he would fold, but I do not know if that is good.
And there were ton of situatiosn where I do not know how to play. But I see him spewing money and want to play. One moment he had almost 7 stacks. His bluffs were working.
I am afraid if I reduce my range too much, he might adjust and not spew as much. PLus I miss oportunities. I just need to hit at least 2nd pair and I can bluffcatch him I think.
But the problem is - till I hit 2nd pair, he will bluff me a ton, when I cannot rebluf him even with draw.
