Hello,

pré I was between calling or 3bet but decided to call. (maybe because of sizing of raise).

flop c/c with gutshot and overcards

turn I decided to take over betting because I got outs and had a plan if a good card A/K/T/ :diamond: would hit on river. His flop bet didn't convince me : 4BB raise pré and 5 BB raise on flop.

river I continued and was expecting a lot of folds. Maybe sizing should have been bigger.

I don't think anything is folding there but I'm setting up for the river.

I got outs if I hit or can make a bluff when a :diamond: hits.

That was my way of winning this hand

It would be better to do this with A♦:

You have some thing right, but some other things wrong.

First, the "his flop bet didn't convince me" is just an example of the GREAT OVERTHINK. His 57% bet is perfectly normal.

Then, yes, donking turn with a plan isn't horrible. Here is one problem though: This is an unusual line with a flush draw. You cannot represent a flush credibly. In fact, you don't represent much of anything. (Check-calling turn with the intention of donking on a :diamond: would be more credible.)

Lastly, this is (the top of) the micros. People call bluffs too much and bluff too little -> value orientated play is to recommend.

3bet pre. Stupid bet OTT, nothing will fold and you just increase the pot with 4 outer. He might not fold OTR and you end up losing a lot of $$$. You wanted to set up for river and bluff it you hit any diamond but you really would not donk turn with FD so your story doesn't work. You are repping flush but not blocking any of villains flush combos?

Agree with the people above - 3 bet pre and do not do funky stuff on turn.
We do not represent anything, the card is a blank.... Just xf.
Asplayedyou lost too much money trying to play like on HSP.

As played, a nit that calls OTT would already be a sign to give up the hand.

I agree that you do not represent a FD here by donking OTT. 2P at most but here is the case he calls you off, he can have some Qx in his hand so he will discount your Qx hands already.

I believe in general at the micros we do not need to do too many fancy stuff if we are not certain that our bluffs won't work.
