Hey team,

MP here is 30/13 sorta TAG guy but less than 20 hands.

Poker Stars, $0.02/$0.05 Pot Limit Omaha Cash, 5 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: $5.37 (107.4 bb)
BB: $6.85 (137 bb)
MP: $4.62 (92.4 bb)
CO: $9.64 (192.8 bb)
Hero (BTN): $5.95 (119 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with Q 4 K A
MP raises to $0.17, CO calls $0.17, Hero calls ???, 2 folds

I've got super TAGs behind me in the blinds, just wondering about the preflop play here. I feel like it's pretty close, with the A high flush draw I think calling is easier. Against a 12% opening range we've got about 43%.

...

Hero Calls 2 folds

Flop: ($0.58) T K A (3 players)
MP bets $0.40, CO folds, Hero calls ???

Tricky flop, we don't really ''Improve" against his range imo. My plan is to float here and potentially have to give up if he keeps betting big.

Turn: ($1.38) 3 (2 players)
MP checks, Hero checks

Not wanting to get c/r I check back, I think his range is hands I beat with outs against me and the the nuts a small amount of the time. Might be better for me to bet turn given it's probably a fair assumption he'd bet turn with QJ/Sets given how vulnerable it is on this wet board.

River: ($1.38) 9 (2 players)
MP checks, Hero checks

Results:

Spoiler

$1.38 pot ($0.05 rake)
Final Board: T K A 3 9
MP showed J K K 6 and won $1.33 ($0.76 net)
Hero mucked Q 4 K A and lost (-$0.57 net)

Thoughts?

my thoughts:

Pre: I like the overcall IP but if you fold to a flop cbet on that board with that hand you should fold or 3bet that hand pre.

On the turn you want to bet/fold here really badly since you most likely have the best hand though vulnerable. He most likely doesn't have QJ or a set - he would be crazy to not charge draws. Maybe AQT; AJxxhh or any heart draw. If you think your opponent is perceiving you to be float happy (which after 20 hands and on this limit most likely is not) checking is fine but you have to be able to call down light on the river and be prepaired to lose a lot.
However since you have the Kd you can credibly rep any diamond river and any A,K, J will give you the best hand anyways so bet/fold is my favourite choice of play.
If called decide depending on opp's action. hearts is bad Im guessing but didn't look in spoiler

Thanks for the comments, I completely agree with you now :) It does seem like a pretty clear turn bet.

Easy flop call, def turn bet.

3betting that flop pf is a catastrophical mistake.

I fold that PF, call K and A suit. Not sure about the K hi, sure about A hi
