SB posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.35) Hero has J♥ T♥

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.55, fold, BB calls $0.30

Flop: ($1.20, 2 players) 8♣ 5♠ K♠
BB checks, Hero bets $0.70, BB calls $0.70

Turn: ($2.60, 2 players) A♥
BB checks, Hero bets $2.00, BB calls $2.00

River: ($6.60, 2 players) T♠
BB checks, Hero bets $3.80, fold

Villain quite unknown. I wasn't sure about the foldequity on the river. Could be because he seems a bit fishy still has any Kx in his turncallingrange. For the sizing I used, it has to work ~36% of the cases. His callingrange: Any twopair and the flush (even an A :spade: X :spade: has a hard time, but it's not a lot). His folding-range: Any Kx and some turned one-pair top-pairs.

When 2 draws complete on river I do not like your bet.
Even the turn bet is too much for me.

Flop and turn bets are good. But I really don't like your river bet. You have tons of worse hands to bluff with from a BTN open range, if you are bluffing 3rd pair, then you are bluffing almost everything (and you don't even have blocker to the flush).

Against unknown villain I would only go for default play and give up OTT in such situation. Flop bet was good IMO.

Barreling 3 streets on this board vs villains passive line is good; you just have the wrong hand to do it.

Something like 67/a hand with one spade no pair would be a great third barrel. If you barrel JT of hearts here you barrel way too many hands and villain can call you down easy with TP.

Also you hit a T on the river so you now have showdown value vs villains 67 etc. so no need to bet river with this hand.

I would just cbet this flop and give up since you have like 3 outs ott.

As played, if your plan was to bluff all the way then shove it OTR. Villain could call with :Kx:, :Ax: so you generate much more FE with a shove.
I think this kind of board isn't good for your aggressive line, flop bet is ok, even on turn where you get some equity with GS but think OTR you should xb.

I wouldn't bet river here. Maybe I wouldn't bet turn either. That board hits villains range.

the ev of betting is bigger than the ev of check back assuming he will have all the nano ax's ,some Kx's + we dont have the strongest sd value...
if u bluffing this much , 2x Overbet turn shove river.. he is capped .. he will overfold a lot of rivers ...

as played ok hand from thinking point of view - bad from sizes

Are you serious? You want to turn our hand into complete bluff, overbet turn with air and shove river? Betting is more +EV because villain will fold all of his small Ax and Kx? Two draws just got there and villain can have stronger hands than small Ax hands...

If villain is afraid of the A or the board he will fold on the $2.00 as much as he will fold on the super expensive overbet+shove...
No need to do fancy stuff here. Leave it for HSP. :)

The villain's flatting range has kings, eights and fives in it? That flop board hits a BU steal range about the same as a random's BB passive defence range - not very much in both cases. The turn hits us better than the villain.

Would I barrel -

OTT - absolutely. We opened, so an ace OTT is a barreling card for us. We even catch bit of backdoor equity to a monster. Good stuff (though too big, half to two thirds pot is plenty for me) :f_thumbsup:

OTR - This is a mad triple barrel bluff when every passive draw the villain could have played completed OTR. There is a fine line between barrelling and donating your money to monsters. As played we looked that line in the face on the turn, then ran past it OTR screaming "god I hope he has a weak king".

Spewy. Don't let the result skew you too heavily into trying this often.

BB will flat awful lot of Ax and Kx. He will have some 8x (88,T8,98,78 maybe 68) and same goes for 55 and 5x although he will 3bet a lot of smaller suited connectors and one gappers... OTT he can have straight draws also. River Ts is terrible card. QJ has a straight, flush draw completes and AT,KT are definitely in his range.

So yes, this range hits his flatting range. Turn ace hits his range, at least by opening some new draws. On the flop I think his flatting range has as many Kx,8x and 5x as we do in our stealing range. When villain doesn't fold to our cbet I see no reason to keep barreling with air and very little chance to improve our hand. 3 barreling sounds idiotic..

BB is far more likely to resteal with an awful lot of those Ax and Kx. There are some 8s (but not nearly as many as Jacks and Tens), and only 55 hits the 5. Important to note that most of those 8x hands should fold to the ace turn barrel.

This board hits our open raise range better than BB's flatting defence range, and so does the turn. Especially the turn.

Well we can debate about that... Imo we can flat more hands from BB. We can flat those hands we would 3bet from SB... For example I will flat A2o-AJo A2s-ATs from BB. We have no idea of villains resteal habits, I guess he would 3bet 65s,54s,53s but not 100% sure about that. After villain calls our cbet I would say he doesn't have so many Jx and Tx in his range anymore. 8x he will call.

Are you saying you'd call OTT here as villain with say 8♦:9♦:?

No. Are you saying you will call here with Jx or Tx hands? After his call OTF he still has many Ax and Kx. Could have even A8 or K8. Or 8♠:9♠:.

Can you tell me what worse hands are calling us OTT? Villain needs to fold 45% of the time here. Considering he has draws and many Ax,Kx in his range, do you think he will fold often enough for us to gain auto-profit? Our hand still has very little chance to improve.

Your question is quite stupid and doesn't lead us anywhere. Show me some calculations and estimated ranges and we can discuss about this. If you do not have any counter-arguments and can't do anything but ask me stupid questions about what I will do with specific hands, we can end this discussion here.

We should not triple barrel bluff here. It is donating money. Flop board is dry K85. We bet, he calls. Turncomes the A and we bet, he calls again. On the river2 draws complete... We hope to fold the straight?
