I'm x-posting this for the Italian forum because is generating some debate, wanted to know your opinion :) hope this is not a problem.
Villain is unknown, however seems kinda fishy to me. Is bluffcatching OTR +EV?

Villain is definitely a fish and he looks passive. Passive players do not usually go for big bluffs. Sets are possible, so is AQ and backdoored flush. He can also have weaker Ax and because you checked turn he is betting his Ax for value. You don't have the best bluffcatcher here. I think river is a fold.

Well, limping 3/3... it's a fish ( as some coach once said here). When a draw completes and such a player starts betting - you fold. There are a lot of better hands.

Out of curiosity: what was the debate on Italian forum? Did someone say that we should bluff catch vs passive fish with less than top pair? =)

Nope, some said that a particular kind of fish player usually floats the flop/turn with middle pocket pairs then betting OTR transforming his hand in some kind of bluff. It's not on this specific hand tho, more like a general discussion :)

Okay. Yes some fish can bet flop and turn small with small pairs but I don't think they turn it to bluff very often. This particular hand we should fold if we have no good reads on villain.

Agree. We are folding as villain is not doing this reularly.

Hm. Someone floating flop and turn, turning a pocket pair into a bluff on the river isn't necessarily a fish. Such a player could push you off AK here. But these guys are rare. Real fish can be found in millions. Easy fold.
