Hi everyone, this was a hand my bro played deep in a 2K live event so give me some feedback tell me what you think.

mid-way through day two, 80 players left and 45 ITM, he had 38 BB and he was on the big blind with 55.
2BB raise from early position from a guy who was raising almost every hand, a call from the chip leader who we over heard telling someone he was going to play tight until the final table (he had 150+BB), fold to my bro in the big who bet 15 BB(with 55), fold from 1st raiser and a call from chip leader.
flop was 2 7 Q rainbow and pot was about 35 BB.
My bro jams with about 23BB left.

So what do you think. did he play it right? Was the squeeze bet too high? Was the jam out of line? or do something different?

In the end the chip leader snap calls with 22 and wins the pot

There is no reason to squeeze (3bet to 15bb) here. Just call and play post flop. Use other hands to squeeze that have better playability postflop ie hands like suited broadways etc. As played I guess shoving is fine, not 100% sure though. If you overheard that he'll be playing tight I guess a 5-7 bb bet would do the same trick. Also he would be inclined to check down I suppose. But the play preflop with 38bb left is pretty horrendous I'd say.

Also, if you are to squeeze in this spot 15bb is way too large when playing opponents who obv don't know any strategy and don't realize that they should either fold or shove versus that sizing. Stick to 7-8 bbs rather.

I guess this isn’t a blog. So I have moved your thread to the tournament hand discussion board.
I would play 55 for set value and don’t make a 3bet bluff with it against 2 players and give up the flop unimproved.
