Hero bets 11.2 BB, BTN calls 11.2 BB

What ya think about this semi-bluff spot?
BTN is an unk, but he seems to be a tight player.
I guess after his calls he usually has Tx, or some OESD + pair combo.

Question to hero: what would you do if he pushes the flop?

Pushing the flop would mean he has a very strong hand and I cannot call.

When check raising, you should generally favor those hands that could call a push.

Then your raise is not that good. I am not a fan of folding equity.

I don't like the way Hero played the flop and prefer calling because we have a madehand and there's not really a need to turn 88's into a bluff here. I would rather do it with other 8x below A8. Btw, on this board the only hands that cann call a push are top 2pair and better. Does it mean that you have no semi-bluffing range here?

I agree, 88 is not the hand to bluff with here. Other than that - well executed. (And smart bet sizes. Turn bet could be a tiny bit bigger.)
