BTN mucks 9♣ 8♣ (Two Pair, Nines and Eights)
(Pre 19%, Flop 71%, Turn 64%)
Hero wins 126 BB

preflop: i think i should have 3bet higher
flop: QQ+ would have 4bet me preflop so i feel that i am ahead of both their 3bet calling ranges apart from maybe 99 and 88. value bet
turn: i have blockers for some straights that get there and also an oesd so i bet for value again
river: once the j hits i feel like im behind here a lot vs hands like Qxs, A7s, K7s etc so i check with the intention of folding to any decent sized bet.

is this line ok?

We can 3b to 9bb on SB here. We can also bet bigger OTF for value.
You indeed block quite some hands OTT. Your reason convinces me to value bet OTT as well but I would be cautious here since you are mw. I think when I was in the hand I would have checked OTT. River is x and if raised big, we can fold.

You can 3bet a bit bigger. Postflop is fine as played.

No need to 3-bet bigger. Hands you want a call from already have very bad odds (< 2:1) to call. Needless to say, if you maintain the same (higher) sizing for 3-bet bluffing trash widely from SB, you get into mathematical trouble. Don't set your rewards worse than 1:2 (bad enough already, needs 67% folds to autoprofit) when stealing preflop.
