Hello everybody,
some of you may know me,
most probably don't.
I used to make a SNG blog on this website couple years ago.
I had to quit because of black friday and starting university in a very challenging program which I am now done.

I am interested in getting back into the game, really seriously. (The sit and goes)
I have a new desktop up and running. (Well, I kinda formatted the same desktop that I had)
So far i'm not sure what to do and where to start.
Technically I have no poker software at all so I'm not sure what to get.
I guess I should deposit on fulltilt because I guess my account is still linked with PS and I could get points?
Also not sure what limit to start, 6 years ago I beat 6$ and was on my way to beat the 11$, wonder where I should start.

Anyways
Cliff questions
- Which site should I play on and which limit?
- Which poker software should I get? (is sng wiz still around? ICM trainer? Pokertracker?)

Thanks for your opinions, and who knows, I might start a blog again once I figure out where I will play.
For you information, I also kept playing live poker, mostly tournaments there and there, couples of cashs.
couple of shallow tries at online cash game.
And also developed a love for other gambling games, which was horrible for me so I just try to avoid them all together.

Black Friday could make thinks complicated with rooms you can choose, because than you are most likely from the USA. We don’t promote any USA friendly sites on the moment except PokerStars that you can play in Jersey if I’m right.

On the moment you can still us ICM trainer, but it doesn’t get updated anymore. Also ICM Wizard will still work, but there is now already SNG Wizard 2 and PokerTracker 4 is still working.

Hopefully helps this a little bit, but if you have more questions don’t hesitate to ask them.

Cheers,

That makes it easier for me. Based on your post you have an old FTP account that most likely isn’t linked anymore, because after black Friday there was a period FTP wasn’t a partner room of us anymore and then all accounts get untracked.

The advantage of playing on FTP now that you have now the same traffic as on PokerStars now, because the players pool are merged together this year. I don’t think you can make a new 1 on the PokerStars version if you don’t have 1, because I can log in with my PokerStars nickname and Password on both clients if you didn’t had a PokerStars account already.

If you would play on FTP I would start from the lowest buy-inn in the SNG format you want to play to get used to the game and if you are ready you can move to the $7 games if you are ready for it.

If you want to play on another poker room you can almost only play STT SNG’s. Than I would most likely start on 888Poker, because there you have the softest player pool for SNG players with the best new players promotion I think.

Hmm this is terrible, my FT account was tracked but not my pokerstars. They forced me to merge right now so I'm guessing there goes my points. I assume there's no way to get my pokerstars account tracked?

I already have an 888 account too, i'm not sure if it's tracked here I would have to look.
I remember the big problem was the traffic on other website for SNGs.

Thanks again. I will think about all this and make a choice.

I’m afraid re-tracking isn’t possible on most sites and that’s for PokerStars also the case. Indeed is 1 of the problems on other sites that the traffic is indeed low for SNG’s if you want to multi table a lot of SNG’s at the same time.
