Facing Flop Raise 3bet KK

That flop sizing is bad.
I think you definitely should bet here but something like 13bb will do just fine.

Because of your huge bet size in 3bet pot, villain can just minraise you and you basically have to call and then he has so little left that he shoves OTT and you are committed.

SB is just calling preflop with openraiser and 3 bettor in front.
This flop hits him.

Preflop is fine. Flop should be smaller (standard in 3bet pot is something about 1/2 of the pot). Flop is fold for me.

Agreeing with my foreposters. In general it makes more sense to go smaller on the flop. Also, on a flop like this, you are probably beat in >90% of the cases if villain raises. Even though, as played, he puts in a minraise, it's a fold.

why do you think that his bet size is wrong? The board is very drawy, hits both ranges, so you will see very little FE with both bet sizes, which makes big bet size better than small bet size with value hands. SB looks fishy so KK should have a value bet.
The argument that villain can just minraise so hero has to call is not relevant at all when choosing max EV bet size. EV of bet size is calculated by estimating villains defend range, frequency how often they fold, raise, call, the size of bet etc, but has nothing to do with minraise on turn.
Also hero doesn't have to call vs min raise if doesn't have enough equity given pot odds and playability, and can call if he has (so he is not commited vs min raise). Since with a call he has so little left, then hero should shove vs min raise if he thinks that villain will call with enough worse hands so that shove is max ev, and if villain doesnt call with enough worse hands, then you can approximate villains min raise to actually raise shove and calculate again pot odds and equity.

I agree with the Kid. It makes no sense whatsoever to make a token-bet on the flop. It is just building the pot to a size we cant handle, and you "don't know where you stand".

"Standard" can easily go out the window when there are other considerations (board, number of opponents, stacks, position) to take into account. But I am probably folding to the raise.

Yeah, now I see that. Flop is very drawy and we can absolutely make the bet bigger than 1/2 of the pot. Thanks for reminder.
