6max 888.es 2€ 2R1A tourney, early stages

Pre - decide to check and see a free flop as I dont think either limper will fold easily
OTF - obvious bet, larger than 1/2 to charge the draws
OTT - bet or check/call? If I get raised he must have a straight
I decided to bet big again & then when he shoves he must have J9 or AJ maybe a set or KQ, people at these games dont shove draws, so I guess I should just fold even though with my big bet I am quite close to being committed

How would you bet OTF & turn?

I think it’s difficult to give him credit for a straight. AJ would most likely raise pre-flop and J9 would be an optimistic call on the flop, but with his passive stats is J9 more likely off course and weaker 2 pair combo’s as well I think. Also with your big turn bet you need to invest only 1,2k more and I would most likely make it around 600 and call a potential shove on the turn.

At these games people hardly ever raise as a bluff, you get the odd maniac who does but they generally play like a maniac 100% of the time.
When he raised I was sure he had a straight but called hoping to be wrong/ to improve on the river for so few extra chips
