I think this hand could be iso-raised pre. Your hand is off-suit and you are playing OOP vs all and the pot will be 4 ways. I think it is very difficult to make any money in this spot.

OTF ok.
OTT I don't like your check raise. It is a limped multiway pot, flush completes and 2 guys seem to be interested in the pot.
OTR I don't like betting. You check raise turn multiway when flush completes and you get two calls. You are way ahead/ way behind and I would not invest any more money. If you want to bet, I think you could go very low to target some top pairs / two pair and fold vs a raise.

I don't mind the complete pre with TJo . It's probably just a call down depending on the bet sizing . If villain bets the river small you might think about a small check raise then i think.

I think i prefer just betting the flop though in a limped pot , you can barrel any 9 T J Q K or A you could even barrel the spades. They will just have a'lot of pretty weak holdings.

Why iso-raise with J high OOP?

No, go for the implied odds (which are in the most favorable case 370:1). Winning money isn't easy, but it doesn't need to happen every day when it costs 0.5 bb to see a flop.

Flop: You don't have the odds, but this is all about implied odds. If they are bad, you can stack them often enough, and you close the action.

Turn: None of them seem to be nursing a small flush. BB's bet is too small for that and BU would be mad not to raise with a small or even big flush; he'd be offering the right direct odds for any set to outdraw him. Thus I like the raise, but it is too small. Especially the button will have great odds to draw.

River: Nice value bet.

But then, since you posted the hand, you probably lost because one had a small flush and the other had a straight too. Such is lifeX( But in order to win big, you need to stick out your neck once in a while:)

OOP vs 3 opponents with offsuit hand. Difficult to play, domination issues, reverse implieds. By raising we might take the pot down easier pre and not get owned by so many 2 pair and flushes etc when we hit our J.
On the other hand if BB doesn't raise, we get pretty good implieds and calling might be just fine. I'm just not sure if we can really make any money that way when we hit because our villains usually either fold their trash or hit harder than we do.

Guys calm down, YohanN7 nailed it! :) I wonder what limits he plays as he always drops very high-value posts on hand analysis. :f_thumbsup:

As you have guessed, I don't agree:D

It is easy to play it. There are no domination issues since we are not even remotely considering more than a one-and-done flop bet - at most - if we hit a pair.

What actually happened this hand is about the most difficult scenario. Unfortunately, we hit, BB hits better, but play badly, thus luring us to lose a big pot. The point is that they'll play badly the times when you have the best hand as well.

By contrast, if you raise it up (risking 5 bb to win the puny 3.5 in the middle), then you have managed to get yourself into a difficult spot almost all of the times you get called, and that will be most of the times.

That is actually true and I start to think that limping was better here.
Would you also limp if there was only one limper, not two? In that case JTo would be in my standard iso range.

In that spot, raising is much more attractive. I could go either way depending on the other players. It's a matter of style I think. I am personally sometimes insanely aggro (too aggro) in position preflop, but quite timid (too timid) OOP.

Even vs one limper i would still just complete , but then i complete the SB very wide when there is a limper/limpers. I think you can get away with just isoing around 15% of hands in most cases. So i would complete wider than i would iso.

If the BB is aggro though and likely going to raise a'lot i wouldn't complete the SB as wide and id iso wider myself.

In this hand the BB is 29/12 so hes not going to give you any issues when you complete a wide range , and there is likely alot of value keeping him in the hand aswell.
