NL2 Hand could I make a better play on the River?

I think you played it well. Maybe betting close to pot on the Turn would be better, since he has quite a few Ax hands on his range. The standard 2/3 bet is fine, but if we want to get the best winrate possible we have to deviate from the standard size and exploit the opposition when we have strong hands.

I would play the hand the same way. On the turn, you can easy bet for value on NL2. Especially if you put him on Ax, because you will beat all of them and he can check behind some hands as well and then you missed value that he would call a bet with.

I like the hand. It is played ok but OTR we could consider folding. I know it is difficult to give up two pair but when villain call call donks, it is very very often a strong hand.
It is actually quite close. You need about 30% equity to call profitably and against this range you will get just that

Thank you guys for all the help I appreciate it a lot, I could have bet for a bit more value on the turn, and then OTR when he raises and comes from nothing should had stop and consider a bit more what he might had and folded since he was playing like he has a good hand.

It's definitely close, his range contains within A2, A5, 22 55 and that would be all, 50-50 kind of spot

His hand looked face up as AJ the way it was played , you expect anything he connected the flop with or over pairs to cbet , what hands can he check call twice and lead river 2/3p with .

Id never expect a vulnerable 2 pair like 56 to check the flop, neither would i expect sets to check either on a board like that, or the strait. If those hand check its to check raise not to check call 2 streets.

Shame about the spoilers in the HH's you can never tell how honest the responses are , the results really aren't that important to have in the HH .

Maybe post them at the end of the discussions when the thread has died off a bit, people can check there hand reading that way if they so want.

Even though it looks very much like AJ id still play the same way and call river , mainly because people do weird things at these stakes. And sometimes over value or play hands very differently to how we think they should play them. Without any reads on him and assuming hes a fish hes just as likely to show up with J5 suited or some random hand.

I think he would play 2P hands a bit different. 2P from flop or turn may be more aggressive.

Agreed with you Jensee, thinking on the way if I had the Set already I would probably check/raise a set his way of playing was more trying to draw to something, and on the river when he hits he bets, next time I will make them pay a bit more specially on the turn where we shouldn't let anyone pay cheap to see the river to suck out on us.
