Sunday i finished a tournament(11$ buyin) in 9th place and i am not sure if i misplayed my last hand. I'm a cashgame player so I am not to deep into icm which should take a huge factor in the following hand. Still even tho im a CG player the playerfield was so soft, i had a token for the tournament, and alot of the guys who made it deep didnt seem like regulars at all (probably also guys who got a free token), even tho i do not know in depths of ICM and other sng+tour exclusive stuff i felt like a had at least a small edge.
Some infos you might also need: 9th place gets 120$, 8th 200$, 7th 300$, 6. 400$, 5. 504$, ... 1st 1800$ (i dont remember the rest tbh)
i was in bed on laptop without a hud so i cant post the hand directly and i talk out of memory. bb was the most active guy who showed up with rags alot of the time.
I had 4.5 million chips and was 3rd in chips. BB had ~8 million chips.
there 5 guys who had 10 or less bb and 2 of them were very short with only 5ish bbs
Blinds are 100,000/200,000, i get KsQs in lj, minraise

BB checks, I check, Button raises to 500,000
I jam, he calls with ATo i dont improve and am out in 9th for 120$
my thought process was that theres plenty of fold equity and in the worst case i have arounda flip with a little edge for me, if i get called and win the hand i am in prime position to win the tournament with 11 million chips and 2nd would have 4 million.
a friend of mine who was a decent winning tournament player 6-7 years ago told me its all about not busting on a ft especialy when there are so many small stacks at the table.
i knew about that, and thought about that but in the end i thought like "this is the hands you need to win to win a tournament".
if id just keep folding i would have at least 400$ for sure and would still be in position to win the tournament.
Now i would like some more opinions on this hand. do i have to fold there alot of the times? can i play the hand differently and see a turn and lay it down there? i felt like i ether fold or jam because i would lose alot of equity on the turn and would need to give up anyways, so i cannot use my full equity.
