Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has A♣ A♦

Hero raises to $0.30, CO calls $0.30, fold, fold, fold

Hero bets $0.50, CO calls $0.50

Turn: ($1.75, 2 players) 3♣
Hero bets $0.85, CO calls $0.85

River: ($3.45, 2 players) 4♥
Hero bets $0.80, CO calls $0.80

Hero shows A♣ A♦ (One Pair, Aces)
(Pre 81%, Flop 22%, Turn 14%)
CO shows T♥ T♦ (Three of a Kind, Tens)
(Pre 19%, Flop 78%, Turn 86%)
CO wins $4.82

I'm assuming my flop&turn bets are fine here (let me know if they're not:f_cool:)

So on the river is the main decision. I think he could have alot of Q+pair sort of hands he might of called with, so i decide to lead for small value. Plus this is also a blocker bet. The only question is, do you think he could call with worse in this spot? Should i have bet even thinner, perhaps .50? or not at all?
Cheers.

Do elaborate.
If we x/c i think we get value bet bigger and miss value from his weaker holdings.

Thin valuebet will often have close to similar EV than a check. I think this is ok.

I'm not sure what the science behind this statement is.
I could guarantee if i check the river here he'll bet bigger then .80$ with all hands that beat mine, and check back all hands i beat. So surely that makes it worse.

With xc we give him chance to bluff.

I agree that villain will most of the time check behind those hands that we beat, so if we check we could be check folding?
It just shouldn't make a huge difference in your EV whether you check or bet small.
If you check you win the pot when he xb with a weaker hand. If you bet you win the pot + the bet when weaker hands call but you also sometimes lose a bit more when he has a better hand.
