Is this line ok ?
Pre flop: I feel ok 3 betting even though the suited cards are not the aces

Flop: I have overpair, gutshot to the nut straight and 2nd nut flush draw so feel it is right to bet

Turn: the 4 changes nothing so I bet again hoping to charge any draws or fold out any 2pair that is not QJ

River: I have top set but now there is a straight on the board and I don't think anything else would call so check back

If he had KT he would bet the river. He might have Adxxx and might call decent bet on the river.

I don't agree with this line of thought. There are many hands that will still call, because they don't necessarily put YOU on the made straight on the river either but on a range of hands (that would mean you only bet flop and turn with a KTx hand which is obviously not the case). I don't necessarily agree with Kyyberi that he would definitely donk river if he had made the KT, especialy since you bet both streets after he checked he might plan to check raise you here with KT (not that that is necessarily the best play because what would you then call his check-raise with? but that is a different discussion). All in all I would try to keep a range approach, and I do think villlain has a calling range on the river for you to profitably exploit with a value bet (you beat his whole calling range) and I definitely feel that a part of his calling range from flop and turn will remain as a rive calling range too (just not flushdraws anymore). If you get raised then you think again, but think in a step by step way, you have a clear value bet vs his river calling range. Should he raise then ask yourself how much equity you have vs his raising range (if it is just KT then 0% of course). GL

On the other part, I really don't get it why he doesn't raise the turn with nuts. :f_ugly::f_ugly::f_ugly:

Yeah weird indeed I would also raise here on the turn. Would be useful btw if the original poster could mention the potsizes at each street...not for this post but for future posts of course DAYETTAY!

Yeah sorry the hand is just copy pasted from stars hand history. Will in future put the pot sizes in myself.

thanks for the advice.
