Hello,

how do you react to donkbets?
On the flop I faced a donkbet and I wasn't sure how to respond to it.
Raise? Call?

I checked back on the turn, because I was a little bit about straghts afraid.
Don't know whether this was a little bit too conservative or not.
What do you think?

Best regards
Dominik

I would consider if the player is a fish to raise on his donk bet for value. He can have a lot of Jx hands in his range. The turn you are betting instead of checking behind. I expect you mean the river and I don’t think a thin value bet on turn and river is bad against most likely a fish that could call with any top pair combo most likely.

Cheers,
