This is the worst hand I've played in the last several thousand hands. Of course, this is almost always a 3b pre but I was on several tables and had to make a quick decision. I'm thinking if I 3b the pot with that many still to act, we're looking at an almost definite 4b+shove or hugely inflated flop pot OOP. I thought we'd keep it small, disguise the strength of my hand, and see the flop multiway. After that, well ...you can see how it plays and that's why I'm posting. I'm leaving the results out for obvious reasons and it would be great to get some feedback on how to play this.

We have already a min 3bet in front of us, but only with crazy reads he’s only min 3betting with KK+ I would call this, but normal I would make big 4bet for value and the change you will play multiway will drop as well.

On the flop, you could consider leading this flop against 3 players, because the original 3better is checking and I expect you can easy generate some value with your over pair.

As played I would fold the river for sure. I don’t think the CO will 3-barrel bluff with an ace on the river that’s a scare card most of the time and he has a lot of sets in his range.

Cheers,

I would still consider squeezing here. If called, we go postflop with a strong (not AA/KK) hand most of the time. If shoved, we may fold the hand.

We can't check twice postflop here. We should bet at least the turn. OTR, I think we should fold here. UTG seems to have a strong ace the way he played this.

Though the pot is 3-bet, it is more or less a limped pot in terms of ranges, in that someone of the four joining the party likes that flop. That someone (CO) is in this case a nit sucked in by preflop pot odds. Stats say he raises his high cards and folds the low ones, so be very leery when he bets multi-way on this flop.

That said, it is not easy to get away with overpairs, but t b h, I think the earlier you fold, the better.

There's a room for a squeeze pre-flop

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Really appreciated. Your analysis was spot on, too. Here's how it played out:

Winning Poker Network (Yatahay) - $0.02 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: $10.17 (VPIP: 42.27, PFR: 13.54, 3Bet Preflop: 5.41, Hands: 99)
Hero (BB): $2.04
UTG: $2.62 (VPIP: 22.87, PFR: 13.95, 3Bet Preflop: 2.20, Hands: 265)
MP: $3.71 (VPIP: 24.86, PFR: 18.27, 3Bet Preflop: 11.35, Hands: 545)
CO: $2.00 (VPIP: 13.52, PFR: 9.84, 3Bet Preflop: 4.40, Hands: 249)
BTN: $2.00 (VPIP: 28.39, PFR: 20.44, 3Bet Preflop: 9.79, Hands: 797)

SB posts SB $0.01, Hero posts BB $0.02

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.03) Hero has Q♣ Q♠

UTG raises to $0.06, MP calls $0.06, CO calls $0.06, fold, SB raises to $0.10, Hero calls $0.08, UTG calls $0.04, fold, CO calls $0.04

Flop: ($0.46, 4 players) 9♣ T♦ 6♠
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG checks, CO bets $0.18, SB calls $0.18, Hero calls $0.18, fold

Turn: ($1.00, 3 players) 3♣
SB checks, Hero checks, CO bets $0.34, fold, Hero calls $0.34

River: ($1.68, 2 players) A♥
Hero checks, CO bets $0.66, Hero calls $0.66

Hero shows Q♣ Q♠ (One Pair, Queens)
(Pre 82%, Flop 13%, Turn 5%)
CO shows T♥ T♣ (Three of a Kind, Tens)
(Pre 18%, Flop 87%, Turn 95%)
CO wins $2.85
Rake paid $0.11

$0.04 was deducted from the pot for the jackpot.

That's probably the most ambitious river call I've made in a while. I tanked and thought about it. His bet sizing for value was pretty good as I felt his range was relatively capped and I had decent odds to make the call. In the future I'll attempt a squeeze in a similar spot and get away from the hand earlier if I get 4b+.
