I'm currently a gold member through the end of this month of June. I renew on June 30th or July 1st automatically. I do see, however, that if I want to upgrade to say platinum, it now only costs an additional $20. I also see you say that if I signed up for it this month, I'd get the rest of June with that status and all of July with that same status, for just $20 now.
Is this all accurate? I just want to confirm before I make any changes to my subscription.

If you buy a higher status (or upgrade) during June, you would get the new status for the rest of June with the upgrade period officially starting from July. So if you acted now, you would get from now until the end of June for free.
If you have already subscribed to Gold status for July, it will cost you an extra $20. If you are not subscribed to Gold for July, then it would cost $59 ($39 per month on a 12 month subscription).

The thing is that it's telling me that a platinum upgrade would cost $20. That's specifically what I'm asking: If I upgrade to Platinum for $20 right now, I'll get the rest of June and all of July at Platinum status for that price?

If you buy a Platinum status upgrade (because you already bought a Gold status in June) until the end of June, you will keep the Platinum status in July too.

Since this thread was so productive a few months ago, I thought I'd ask another question along these lines here:
Is it true that if I upgrade to say, Platinum, that I can never go below Gold again? As in, even when my platinum runs out - if I choose not to renew it - I'll still have at least a Gold membership for life?

Unfortunately that is not true. There are only two status you can keep, and those are Bronze and Black Member.

System allows it so there is nothing wrong with that 
Ok, so after my Platinum purchase not going through via Skrill, it finally went through via Paypal. The thing is that my overview page has my sub ending Jan 31. I'm supposed to have it through Jan 31 and then all of February, correct?
