I feel like I have been click-baited here. I googl'ed strategy for 5-card Draw and got linked to your guide here:

A LOOOOOT of words saying nothing in the introduction and constantly repeating. When it is finally time to read the actual content, it tells me I have to sign up on the site ("its free!"). Once I did that, it now tells me my member status is not high enough. It does not tell me how to get a higher status, but suggest that I can buy it instantly - for some pretty outrageous prizes. Am I missing something here or is this how PokerStrategy.com conducts its business? Bait people into paying them a lot of money in order to see a single guide they might be interested in? Is there another way for me to read this guide?

Welcome to PokerStrategy.com!

The site works on a point system. When you join, you are "basic". The next level up is bronze, and you become bronze when you sign up with an affiliated poker room. Some of the rooms have bonus offers (click on the "bonus offers" item if that link doesn't work) or use the "free money" item.
The bonus offers that are available depend on where you live, so I can't tell you what is there for certain. The same applies to the "free money" item.

As you play on affiliated rooms, your status rises, and more content is unlocked.
The elevated status lasts for a month, and never drops below bronze.

Even basic members have full access to the forum, and here you can review all the discussions related to 5-Card Draw and participate in the discussions as well. 5-Card Draw discussions take place in the "Other Poker Variants" board. Until you're bronze, you won't be able to post pictures, but that shouldn't be a problem.
