I have played a couple of these -- they're just play money for now -- but there are layers and layers of complexity going on.

Essentially there are "power cards" that allow you to scan ahead in the deck, expose other players cards, or even block power cards for one street.

Playing a power card costs points (and the card) but you get a new card and more points each street.

Has anyone else had a look?
What do you think?

Cheers,

I played today also with play money and it's fun
I liked it
may be in future it will work when people will understand the principle.

I played some tourneys as well so far, I feel like the postflop play gets more important for shortstacked, it's super fun to counter the strategy's of the opponents.

My strategy so far is: When opponent spends lots of cards, keep the pot small, and only use cards myself when the pot is big. I like the game so far.

I’m not sure yet, but it looks like an interesting format. Only I don’t know what you get if you win. I expect it’s 3 buy-inns exclusive rake.

Currently you win 2850 play chips
When (or if) real money games appear, I expect the payouts will be similar.

Then I expect the buy-inn is 950+50 rake.

You've made a misprint - the prize is 2580 chips, the rake is 14%. As other low limit play money SNGs have 15% rake, real money Power Up might still have 'only' 8-10% rake like real money Spin & Go or Beat The Clock, but definitely higher than 5% at low stakes. I'm praying for <=10%.

Hopefully it will be around the same rake as Spin & Go’s, but we will see when the game is full operational.
