I don’t think you played it bad. You can consider shoving the turn right away for less than a pot size bet left. I expect he can still call with worse and with 2 queens on the board it’s less likely he has 1.

In my opinion in a 9 men sit n go AK doesn't have the necessary equity to play aggressive in early game against limpers as they could be with PP and due ICM you're underdog.

I think pre-flop play is good: 3-bet, size okay, post-flop: oop I would play check-call for pot control. Villain called out 3-bet which could indicate a strong hand or some pocket pair. I would just check flop. On the turn we could have made the best hand, two Qs are on the flop and it´s unlikely that Villain holds a Q. We beat pairs like TT, JJ, 99, with another AK we chop, so there is a possibility that a worse hand could call us: value bet about half pot. If Villain raises all-in we can decide based on stats whether we call or not. Here, we are committed and must call.

We are in an early phase of an SnG so no need to committ ourselves with AK, especially when Villain is unknown.

At the end we find out that Villain is a recreational player who calls a 3-bet with Q8s and lucks his trips. Such situations (and early busts) you can avoid by pot control in the early phases.
