Opp stats: Opens from BTN 72%, F3Bet 33%, i have ~700 hands on opp but looking into 3BP floating stats will not give much sense as there are just few samples.

Decided to play by x/c as there is not much cards on future streets which may scary us plus give opp possibility to make mistakes which ended up in pretty interesting line and river decision.

How do you guys act here and how would you play?

I think it is fold. Experience shows that big raise on the river is always something strong. He could have set or he was trying to steal the pot with just Ace high on the flop and turn and on river he got his pair of aces. I just think most of the time u are behind your opp and you shouldnt call that big.

Play till the river looks pretty fine for me. :f_thumbsup:

I would normal bet the flop for value with top pair, but this line makes it a lot more interesting.
It would be weird if the ace would help our villain much except AK maybe, but most players would 4bet this hand pre-flop. A hand like AQ wouldn’t bet the flop and turn most likely.

I expect he isn’t 3-barrel bluffing to often or you have reads on him and he could easy have 66 or 77 I think. I don’t think he would bet the river with KJ or so and read less I would fold this.

Cheers,

Both of you dont pay attention to his stats i wrote:
BTN 72%, F3Bet 33%!!! This means he plays in 3BP with 52% of hands which is awesome for us! :-)
Of course we rule out hands like AQ AK in his 3bet calling range as he just HAVE TO 4bet them preflop, even if he doesnt 4bet AQ combos he doesnt need to bluff with them on flop and turn as he has some showdown equity, but most important, he has such a wide range here which he defends so he must have a lot of bluffs here so i gave him opportunity to bluff. Normally i would cbet this board but here i decided to play exploitative line vs exploitative opp.

3BP floating stats are not accurate due to sample size but knowing preflop ranges we assume he has wide range and must bluff a lot do defend his range optimal.

Here is what the result of hand was:

Because of stats I said that he could try to bluff with ace high but this time it was total air bluff - good for you. Villain looks pretty fishy, and you know fishes sometimes are unpredictable and that they have strong hand doesnt always mean they will 4bet preflop. Im playing micro stakes and there are a lot of players who would push allin preflop AJo but would slowplay monsters like AA, KK and AK.

Cool Hand! I'm going to steal this and use it in our cash game series in WEEK3

I'd prefer to play the KQ like my air and let him attack it, which is cbet 1/3 then check the turn
If he's smart he should check back the flop like always as you pretty much have a face-up made hand now

And the thing - that he has to have a lot of bluffs or that he has to 4bet AQo when he opens 72% to keep defend his range optimally I'll mention too

Cbet this hand, it's the nuts vs him, AK will 4bet. I'd x/c weaker Kx here.

Board is still a little wet considering his range, if he really plays that wide. Bottom of his range still connects well with it, as his showdown also shows.

As played i would x/jam turn, turn gives backdoor flush possibilities and we would deny his equity. By x/calling our hand is also rather face-up.
