SB: $17.67 (35.3 bb)
BB: $18.09 (36.2 bb)
UTG: $115.32 (230.6 bb)
MP: $156.57 (313.1 bb)
CO: $64.88 (129.8 bb)
Hero (BTN): $52.09 (104.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with J♣: T♠: A♠: 9♠:
UTG folds, MP raises to $1.75, CO raises to $6, Hero calls $6, 2 folds, MP raises to $24.75, CO folds, Hero calls $18.75

Flop: ($56.25) J♦: 9♣: 7♣: (2 players)
MP bets $54.25, Hero calls $27.34 and is all-in

Turn: ($110.93) 2♠: (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: ($110.93) 2♣: (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Villain (MP) is a very loose rec. 55/31, 50 hands. Fv3b 0%.
CO is a whale 81/48, 3b 30.8%, 32 hands.

Do you think we have enough playability/value vs 2 recreationals to flat the 3b ip? Once we get 4b and the 3bettor folds, fold or call with this hand? Thx.

In general I would avoid such cold calls, but here you've decent hand in position and both players seem to way way too wide, so calling might be ok. Obviously having 3 spades not great, but JT9 are good side cards.

Calling 4bet vs probably aces heavy range I think is not profitable. Your hand is better though than AKQ type of hand vs aces, and I think sometimes taking borderline actions vs such whales is ok as playing deep with them making huge mistakes is so +ev :)

vs his pressumed 3bet range u have ~49% eq (ppt) w nice playbility ip. i am not exp enough at this point to say abt eq realization postflop vs those, but i kinda like 4betting pre too. if u take into consideration the bigger picture of hopefully stopping him to 3bet so wide in the future and easing ur eq realization for next hands. eq sim looks that on abt 75% flops u hit 25%+ eq vs that range ( http://propokertools.com/simulations/graph_hvr?g=oh&h1=30%256h&h2=AsJsTc9s&s=generic) and i think lot of those making ur eq lower are paired/boards w trips where he wouldnt donk, instead u ship and he folds a lot of his equity, so think u should overrealize ur equity there.
so i dont see how u dont make a 4bet a +EV decision. calling could be better tho, as the hand dominates a lot of their draws

Thanks. I think the problem we have is not just the 3bettor's range but the original opener's range. I think you are assuming that the action is that the original raiser folds and only the 3bettor calls. But we need to factor in both: 1. what happens when it goes 3-way and 2. what happens when MP 4bs (as it happens in this hand). Also, bear in mind that we only have ~30 hands for CO so we can't be very accurate about his 3b range.

u have to work w what u have tho, right? and i put 30% from ppt there, which should do better vs ur range than the usual 30% 3bet range.. i genuinely think u have over 50% here most likely and folding would be too nitty

w ur blocker and the action, u get played back by MP only ~5% of times which shouldnt change too much. his (and other ppls) counterplay should be higher when u just cc, so thats where the tree calcs would be more important
