Zoom, A8o, 3bet pre, river decision

A) This hand is shit to 3bet.
B) Villain isn't sitting on the button so BTN steal is a semi-useless stat, some people drop ALOT from co-bu.

Esp since the villain seems aggro postflop with his 3.9AF i wouldn't mingle with him with a crappy hand. It's like bringing a stick to a gunfight.

What Ax or Kx do you 3bet on SB vs BTN? Do you ever 3bet hands with blockers?

But SB-BTN i would generally 3b suited wheel aces A2-5s as they have more potential when called. And something like K9s-6s for the kings as they don't have wheel draws Blockers are in fact an important factor for my 3betting range, but 3betting random Ax hands makes your ranges too wide.

For example: in the spot above, what do you do with ATo and A9o?

Oh dang, my bad... Yeah I call with ATo. It's good enough to call, I think. Yeah, against CO this is too loose.

I think if you don't plan on barreling you're better off just checking back

However you don't often have a hand like this in your range, you block the 88 89 and can bet bet shove diamond cards + some overs, go bet check and win in showdown some - if that was your plan you can bet and now it seems like it's whatever, call or fold seem close to me.

If you don't plan to turn it into a bluff on later streets since at NL25 you don't have to bother just check back the flop and call twice on this board
