Hero (SB): $206.39 (206.4 bb)
BB: $100 (100 bb)
CO: $221.66 (221.7 bb)
BTN: $121.40 (121.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8♥: J♥: 9♦: 7♥:
CO raises to $3.50, BTN folds, Hero calls $3, BB folds

Flop: ($8) 3♥: Q♥: J♣: (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $6, Hero raises to $25.60, CO calls $19.60

Turn: ($59.20) 5♥: (2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks

River: ($59.20) 8♣: (2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks

CO is a reg. Reasonable ability. No stats.

Is this just a fold pre, even 4 handed? What about 3betting such hands? I can't remember if BB was recreational - possibly. Do you like the flat if he is?

As played, I think it's reasonable to call or raise this flop (mainly dependent on villain). I think we rep QQ/JJ pretty well when flatting in this spot.

As played, I'm unsure what line to take for the rest of the hand once we get called and make 3rd nf on the turn. It's a spot where I expect to have a ton of feq but not to be in the best shape when called ott. Overall my line looks way too cautious, yet vs a reg I'm wondering what hands I can target by betting turn+river or by checking turn and betting riv (seems now to be best).

Thanks

How would you play AQKT type of hands on the turn?

Turn check looks a lot like a set or a flush, and opponent often checks small flushes there too. On the river it's a bad spot for opponent to bluff as he can't really rep a lot. I would bet the river, as then it looks like you might turn something to bluff and when opponent checks the turn he might often have some kind of showdown value that calls you. If he had higher flush I think he would have bet that often on the turn.

If you have information on villain's river aggression vs. those checks, and estimate that he's going to bluff it the check-call is fine. But unless he checks back the nutflush on the turn he can't really rep a lot of valuehands (so in general it's sort of a bad spot to bluff).

I would fold too even 4 handed. 3 hearts + gap at top, I would want little better for sb call/3b.

Reasonable hand to bluff flop. Value time otr :)
