So what is a good amount of hands, dealing with variance to see if you are actually decent at poker. I play $.30 NL and have played about 5500 hands and am down 10BI. just curious. I started off pretty slow getting use to online play.
thank you
We can make some guesses based on that sample but to see a more accurate representation of your true winrate you would need to play at least 200k hands. How's your graph looking? Jumping up and down, running - or + EV, red line about flat or going down?
If you have taken a print screen, you can just drag the image file and drop it in to this text field.
I think it can be variance. Your red line could be flatter but it is not shooting straight down.
You have couple of options. You can keep on playing and studying and see how you are doing after 10k more hands or something like that. Or you can post some hands on the forums and check if you are playing those hands ok.
But the fastest way to know if you have some leaks and how to fix those is to get coaching or to get someone more experienced to check your play.
If you decide to go with coaching, I have quite affordable prices
thank you La. i like the idea, maybe some coaching. do you have any references? i think my leak could be BB starting hands- that is were most of my money is going bye bye.
Thanks again
By references I guess you mean other guys who are saying I'm ok? ![]()
I have 2 of them on my website. You can click here and scroll down. I will add a couple more soon.
You can add me on Skype (la55i) and we can talk about this more. Doesn't mean you would have to take coaching from me. And if you want to talk to some of my coachees that can be arranged also
thank you. I am not the most computer savory. never used Skype before. possible in the next few days if i have time i will check it all out.
thanks again
