fold OTR?

This was a bad call I believe. He is never gonna shove here for split.

I'm a beginner so no advise from me but can't you go all-in when you think it's going to be a split pot just because you have nothing to lose but you might have fold equity? If villain is fishy he might fold, not realizing that everything points at a split pot.

There are times when I thought afterwards that I should have done just that instead of checking because you know it's going to be split. I'm still in NL2 so could be this might only work down here.

If he calls, then in the best case it's gonna be split right.. so if I went all in and he'd call I would just build up the pot and that would lead to a bigger rake. And I believe he will call, because after he donks OTT I expect him to have that straight. But I'm also just an NL5 player so my opinion may be wrong.

In poker it is called "the idiot end" of the straight. Now you know why...

About the above opinion to go AI in split situation - it is not ok to do so. The rake will eat you a lot of money and you are not earning anything.

Well I dunno if I'd played this hand any differently. I think the preflop sizing is good, maybe a you can go a bit bigger, like 8 bb.

Villain donking on the turn looks scary, so I'd get suspicious here, but I'm not sure if you could get away from this hand.

I think preflop is OK. You want a caller or maybe even a steal (but you got a multi way pot, that sucks).

Bet bigger on the flop (at least 10BB) because you have a very good hand and a very good draw and a shit load of players in the hand whom you want do deny their equity.

When villain donks on the turn ALL alarm bells should start ringing. You can not fold the turn of course.

think it's a clear fold. AX only plays this way when he's retarded, and you block 2 Aces, so it's better to call here with AK and better to fold AA.
