Pre flop i would like raise 9BB but i miss clicked. Villain stats, just 100 hands, 60/0, WTSD 44, WonSD 36. Turn villain beted only 4BB and i had got some out, i had odds to call, so i decided to call. River he push, and river all in rarely bloff, but sometimes he had aces middle kicker or weak kicker or KQ, KK, lot of one pairs his range what i hit.

Poker Stars, $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

SB: $2.42 (48.4 bb)
BB: $5 (100 bb)
UTG: $9.04 (180.8 bb)
Hero (MP): $5 (100 bb)
CO: $6.70 (134 bb)
BTN: $7.09 (141.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with A♠: K♦:
UTG raises to $0.10, Hero raises to $0.37, 2 folds, SB calls $0.35, BB folds, UTG calls $0.27

Flop: ($1.16) T♠: Q♥: 2♥: (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($1.16) 4♦: (3 players)
SB bets $0.20, UTG folds, Hero calls $0.20

River: ($1.56) A♣: (2 players)
SB bets $1.85 and is all-in, Hero calls $1.85

Results:

Spoiler

$5.26 pot ($0.22 rake)
Final Board: T♠: Q♥: 2♥: 4♦: A♣:
SB showed K♥: J♠: and won $5.04 ($2.62 net)
Hero showed A♠: K♦: and lost (-$2.42 net)

It’s weird he’s betting so small on the turn and over shoving the river. It looks like the ace has helped him as well and you have only a bluff catcher. He needs to overplay an random ace to make it profitable and he has also a decent amount of 2 pair combo’s with an ace in his range and that makes it for me an easy fold.

Cheers,

Preflop, flop and turn are fine imo. I would fold the river, though, but don't think it should be a terrible mistake to call vs a recreational. Who knows what a recreational could have in those spots, but he will have better hands that TPTK too often to call in general, at least imo.

Hi ToddBrunson,

Here my 2 cents.
I would c-bet, also into 2 players. You have fold equity, outs to the nuts, 2 overs (meh..) and even a little showdown value.

about the river.
40/6/0 type of players ... or 60/0/0 or 35/11/1 LIVE from sucking out.
If they go ballistic 95% of the time they have a monster.

this is a typical microstakes move that is most of the times the nuts...as mentioned already above this would also be an easy fold for me

60/0 guy is a passive player, so when he starts betting we should be aware that he is doing it with a strong hand and we can safely fold.

I would have played that hand so
Flop: c-bet , because both of them checks .For me it seems to be a good place to c-bet
Turn: I would have called to
River: I would have folded. It is hard to believe that he would do it with some bad hand .

I never have seen an all-in otr as a bluff at NL2. Never. This are the nuts. And TPTK is too weak to call. To give him here an Ax with TP only, i must have seen him playing that move for two or three times.

I find the topic of the flop cbet more interesting. In theory, flop is wet (connected and 2-suited), face cards are in the range of both opponents, And it’s mw. So cb is standard. Would a better hand fold?

Fold is fine, call is fine either. But because of his bet sizing I lean more to fold.

As mentioned already it is an exploitative fold on the river
The river push is always for value at this limit and mostly nuts or even 2nd nuts

Yes this is the point, he never bloffing the river, i had to fold.
Some of you wrote cbet the flop, but one calling station in pot and i think drawheavy board he never fold. So i guess my only mistake river call.

I did not say not c-bet was a mistake :)

I said I would c-bet.

I think many mid pairs will fold and we're behind those. Suckers like KJ will call and we're ahead those.

Fancy line from an ultra passive fish = monster. TPTK is a great hand for you to bet with against such a player, but definitely not good enough to call his overbet shove on the river considering that a possible draw just completed. So easy fold on the river.

As for the rest of the hand I guess by turn it is ok. I myself would not cbet, but it is close. He is stationairy but you have only A high, he will call with any Q, T, JJ and basically anything that has some equity, KJ, AJ, J9, suited aces, kings.... Against him alone you would even have some value there. But this is 3way and so I wouldnt bluff with just overcards and gutshot and rather take a free card and take it from there. On the turn his 4bb bet is from my experience one of those "search" bets. He has some draw or a weak showdown value and wants to know its doing. So a call is fine.

I do not like cbetting the flop 3 way. Not that many hands will fold and we do not want to pump the pot. If both of them call the turn pot will be enormous and we hold an A-high... :)

Ok, i understand. But i think calling station never fold packet pairs one bet. Perhaps i beted two streets calling station fold but i'm not sure.

Against a calling station with say 88 you have ~10 outs 2 times (he'll probably check the turn when you c-bet the flop).

PS 60/0 does not mean he's a calling station. It means he playes/limps a lot of hands preflop.

Maybe the best play is somewhere in the middle. I don't know. My style is to let those type of players pay for their draws.

2 players and i had to bet about 0.95 post flop and turn only two way: i bet and broke or fold.
I see now too small my 3bet pre flop, at least i had to raised 9BB or high especially against 60/0 and perhaps i played only 60/0 players. So it was my second mistake this hand.
But i pretty sure villain never folded sd until he won't see the river card.

Nop exactly... that why they're so exploitable :)
They'll let you know when they hit or miss.
