Poker Stars, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

Hero (SB): $50 (100 bb)
BB: $94.46 (188.9 bb)
UTG: $93.61 (187.2 bb)
MP: $22.28 (44.6 bb)
CO: $51.85 (103.7 bb)
BTN: $55.21 (110.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8♥: 5♥:
UTG calls $0.50, 3 folds, Hero completes, BB checks

Flop: ($1.50) 4♥: A♥: T♦: (3 players)
Hero bets $0.80, BB raises to $2.31, UTG folds, Hero calls $1.51

Turn: ($6.12) K♥: (2 players)
Hero bets $3, BB calls $3

River: ($12.12) 8♦: (2 players)
Hero bets $4.75, BB raises to $18, Hero??

Preflop: UTG is a recreational, open limping and having stats 36/14 in 15 hands. BB is a reg, but didn't 3bet so far in 18 hands. Decided to complete.

Flop: Decided to lead with a flushdraw and some backdoors. Could make it a bit bigger possibly. When BB raises, I think it's usually Ax, T4, 44 and flushdraws. I think I have to call.

Turn: Decided to lead 1/2, to get calls from sets and two pairs.

River: Decided to bet 1/3 for the same reason as OTF, but then he raises. He is very polarized at that spot, imo, because I don't think he is turning Ax or two pairs into a bluff. So he either has nothing (which is practically impossible when he raised flop) or he has a flush, most likelly better than 8-high. Easy fold?

Why you DOTT? As played and in regarding your weak sizings OTT and OTR I would call!

Recreationals are one thing not. And that is color blind.

At 2NL and 5NL fold for sure!

At 50NL ... no clue :)

Sorry, can you explain DOTT?

What worse hands do you think he could have OTR? Please keep in mind that he raised the flop! Do you think he is raising sets? Which bluffs do you think he could have?

Why you Donc OTT? On the river in regarding of your line he cab bet fo value many worst hands! So I call.

Oh, ok! :f_biggrin: Because I don't want hands like sets, two pairs and top pairs to check back. I think with those he will more often call then bet. I don't think he will tipically have many bluffs OTF. His bluffs (flushdraws) just got there OTT.

Ok, but which? I mean, what do we put him on to raise the flop, call the turn and raise the river? Do you think he is value raising sets/two pairs OTR because of my small sizing or is turning TP into a bluff? Which pure bluffs do you think he could have with those lines?

I did call, but believe it's wrong. We need 28% equity vs his raising range to call the river. Which range would you assing him OTF, OTT and OTR to make our river call profitable?

You just get yourself into trouble way too much with sizes I'd say for not much benefit, bet bigger, fold to a raise Ez game.

And turn seems like a clear check or lead 25% if you want to use a really advanced line. Just consider your range vs regs and it'll become obvious

Half pot you lead because you hope he's just bad and then you should do the same on the river instead

You keep using sizes that induce people and force yourself into crappy spots
