hi,

I raised this one because the blind play pof. Bu is on the loose side. I minraise to put them into a icm pressure spot close to the bubble. The shorty shoves my minraise and I got too good odds to fold. I thought I am way behind his range. I put this hand into holdemres calc and was quite suprised that I have to call 25% if shoves with 13%. I think this is even a consevative assuption. The BB play lots of tabels and with his stack he probably pushes more than this. Do you think my assumtions are ok?

Raising A2s is reasonable, but beware you are committed to call the short stack or he’s a tight player.

committed to call by the odds the shorty is giving me in equity terms?
according to that, shouldnt I raise hand that I would call with?
Do you think 13% could be ok? I am try to figure out how loose I can be in those spots. How much you would resteal in his place?

Indeed, and you need to call only 563 more to win a pot of 1.741. If you doesn’t count ICM you need only 32,3% equity against his shoving range and as big stack the ICM isn’t a big factor against a 6,8bb shove.

It’s always tough to calculate a 13% range, because than I don’t know how the range is build up. Raising any pair, A2s+, A6o+, KTs+, KJo+, QJ, JTs seems reasonable to bet/call with against a short stack and you can use some suited connectors like T9s in your range as well.

How much I would re-steal against you depends how aggressive you are, but in most cases I would go with any pair, A2s+, A6o+, KTs+, KJo+, QJ, JTs. Especially if I know you fold sometimes I would go for a wider range with more suited connectors.
