fullhouse vs big push blind battle

Hi, i couldn't find hand history so i will try to explain it...
The guy from the SB completed often. The hands before this i managed to win all of his completes.
Blinds:250/500 and 50ante(the pot was 1000 to begin with)
Hero:14 500
Villain:12 600

I had J2s from BB and he again completed, i checked.
Flop:
Kc , 9c , 9h
Check, Check
Turn:
Jc
Check, Hero bets 500, Villain raise 2400
River:
Jd
Villain bets all-in 9000. Hero calls.

Here my thoughts:
I agree that i probably shouldn't call a raise..but his range was pretty wide and i had done this to him before...so i put him on 9, flush, good flush draw or even bluff.
The river was the perfect card for me...When he shoved it really looked to me as 9 or flush, or worst J so called.
What do you think about the hand? Except the turn call...any other opinions?
P.S. I was thinking to put a raise preflop since he was completing often...but decided to play it safe.

I'm betting the flop after he checks there, turn bet could be bigger at least half pot. and river is a insta-call

turn raise is ugly, you may be ahead of him, but after calling that you are facing a big river bet no matter what card comes ... and every river besides a jack sucks.

The hands before i always bet when he checked on the flop or even raised when he bet small so i thought he might adapt. On the turn i bet small because he were more passive than aggressive and if he didn't have anything he would fold anyway. In other hand if he saw small bet he would go over the top sensing weakness maybe. I really thought he was doing something stupid with this river push. Oh well...

P.S. He had KK and was trapping from the beginning.

that's the problem with your turn minbet since he may try to move you with air, if you bet bigger and he raises you have a even easier fold. I still don't like your turn call since it puts you on ugly river spots even if he is not slowplaying.

so, are you thinking about folding river that's not an option.

preflop its ok not to raise with J2 if you were agressive the hands earlier.

i think iwould also bet the flop if hechecks,but checking is a defensive play and i dont blame youfor that.
you dont have nothing so checking here with the history is a good check.

on the turn i would also bet, but i think i would bet a bit bigger say at least 800 to end the hand right away.

he check raisesyou and here it is tim to fold !
you only have mid pair with no kicker.
calling makes no sense i think because if you are behind you have only 2 outs hitting your full house.
so if you call the bet you still have to fold to a big river bet if no jack hits.
calling here is a big mistake. i would give it up.
you tried to get the pot and he raises you so just fold.

on the river youcannot fold to this all in.
you have a good full house and you only lose to KK and 99, both not so realistic.
if he has KK he has laid a good trap but you made the mistake by calling on the turn were you dont have much and he told you has has !
