call flop, check/raise turn. Same situation as the other thread, there's a good chance he'll bet when you show weakness.

You guys are totally confusing me ;( ;(....one says check/raise turn, show weakness..another one says..why checking??...you ought to bet right through...

PLEASE tell me where s the difference???

@Emu, please tell me your thoughts on my earlier posted trips....

The check raise is a pretty simple idea... When you know your opponent is going to bet again, just check, and let him bet, so you can raise after. It's just a little trap play.

You bet through when you were the one betting on the previous street. You check raise when someone else was betting before you.

Straightforwardplay is the way to go. The way I would play this hand is bet flop and see what happens. The check raise shows you have a good hand and mayb he folds an ace weak kicker. A check / raise turn is the same. U show you have a good hand and he might fold an ace. If you'd bet flop, bet turn, bet river he might call you down all the way which would give you the most $$.

My advice: play straightforward.

.05/.1 poker? I've never seen someone there fold a backdoor straight draw. No one's folding top pair with a weak kicker, no matter how the board looks.

Maybe I am still too exited when flopping the nuts...always fear I cannot make a proper decision in time...at least I make some decision, but never the best... ;( ;( ;(

if somebody have AA than you dont have the nuts

lol, yeah

But I decided to play with more courage since it was noone, but YOU who told during a coaching it is very unusual someone holds the aces...hopefully I got that str8.

Wasn't that the hand KGB won in Rounders? AA v A9? :P
