Villain can have easily JJ AJ AK etc in this spot after turn check. I think correct play was to check/fold this spot after review.

Until the river it's fine.
I don't know if I prefer check/call or check/fold river but indeed I don't like your probe.

I think this hand is played pretty well.
Until River everything is pretty standard play. OTR when you bet I believe you do it for value, so I would bet a bit bigger. Around 55-65% of the pot. Once the villain shoves its an easy fold, because he has to have at least AJ or better to shove this river.
I think you played out the hand good, but next time bet more OTR. :f_drink:

I don't think you played it to bad, but the river bet is thin. There aren't to many weaker hands that would call. Only AT or weaker, but that aren't to often 3bet hands pre-flop. After his raise the fold is easy.

1. From UTG I recommend opening bigger like 3x.

2. Playing vs 3bet OOP is hard therefore I recommend either 4betting or folding. If you think that Villain is a maniac, then instead of polarizing, just 4bet JJ+ and stack off (or QQ+), (or AK, JJ+). It depends.

3. OTR: betting OTR is massive mistake, because this hand is in a medium value range and you should generally bet nuts or air and check/call medium strength hands.

Question to you is:
Is your bet on the river a bluff?
Is your bet on the river for value?

If it's for value. How many worse hands call?
If it's a bluff. How many better hands fold to your bet?

If River goes x/x it's great.
If you check and Villain bets, then evaluate his bluffs vs value hands.

Consider he also checks back weaker Ax hands. There is nothing you can do about it. He's still is not calling your River bet.
