Nuts FD on wet board

I think that if you cbet OTF and end up checking OTR would induce more bets OTR from the CO than played this way.
I like the flop check. Board is wet and I think your hand is well disguised in this spot.
When you check-call OTT, hit OTR OOP and bet your range gets so narrowed.
That said, I think you can bet this turn. You have a very decent draw and an overcard. Players won't raise you often in this spots to put pressure on you.
As played, he has some bluffs, but I'm betting this. Not sure how an overbet would look here at NL5. Check is meh.

Flop can be cbetted as there are so many turn cards you can keep on or check/raise. But checking that combo is totally fine too.
Turn could be check/raised indeed but after a flop check it's a little too fancy in my opinion. Just call and see.
The problem of your line is that he's often gonna check back on the river. Well, you don't have much value if you donk anyway. But you might want to try though.

I think this is ok but as pointed out above, there are many other lines that would be ok too. You could cbet. You could donk the river etc...

Standard line:
Bet big OTF;
Bet big OTT;
Get it in OTR

OTF pot = 7 bb;
Flop we bet 7 bb + Villains calls 7 bb
= 21 bb OTT

Stacks left = 108 bb
If we c-bet 1PSB OTT , then pot OTT is 63 bb with 87 bb left in the stack

If we overbet small, like 1,5PSB, then 21+30+30= 81bb pot OTR with ~80 BB stacks left, which is great.

So, yeah. I think overbet help us better to prepare for River shove.

EDIT: If we miss flush or straight OTR, we can just fold is we assume we don't have fold equity. Given that we did overbet turn.

Also, if we overbet OTT and have PSB left and Villain jams, we need 33% equity, so that would suck. We would have to fold vs turn shove. I assume that Ax is not an out most of the time.

Yeah you neatly summed it up, a slight ovb turn helps shoving in 3ba but it sucks if villain repop on the turn. I wouldn't expect him to do if often though but who knows.

I'd suggest not to play K8s UTG
It's usually better to push with weaker or stronger FD indeeed but it depends on the spot and what you can expect to accomplish. Here the showdown value or you A9 is rather meh whereas barrelling is tempting as the 9 gives you straight draws or gutshot on some runouts not to mention a blocker to the straight eventually. You have both fold equity and equity when called.
