Hi!
I'm going on my first live tournament, anyone have some directions how i should play?
Something more information about the format of the tournament ... buy in, prize pooll, R & A
I think someone would help you if he knows the format ... I advise you to concentrate and monitor the action, since for the first time I had the problem to escort
Tough to say without more info , but I would play tight at the start and check how everyone is playing and check the weak spots.
Cheers,

I disagree playing tight is a big mistake in my opinion. Deep stacked you will have the biggest edge against weak opponents so you should try to play alot of hands. I dont say that you should spew around but play a good aggeessive style. The big winner are usually the good LAGs and not the nits.
Play aggressive if you don't know what kind of villains you dealing with is tough.
Especially if they are weak you don't want to play big pots with a marginal hand.
Hi,
i am playing live poker tournaments for a while. There are usualy about 50 players in a tourney, the starting stack is 10 000 chips (blinds start form 25/50) and the blind levels are 20 minutes. The format is mostly freezout. There are 6 to 8 places payed.
Most of the players aren't very strong.
I have watched many training videos here, but i am wondering which ones would best correspond to the kind of live game i am playing.
I beg for advise. How do you think, which online game is best to learn from and apply the strategy on my live game.
Thanks!
