Villain was quite active at the time prior to this hand and seems to be a thinking player. (according to tableratings he's up $60k)

26/20/2.5/27/16k

St% 37

F to 3b % 44

F to cb % 45

R cb in 3b pot% 21

I think I played this hand well imo, however I do have some what if type questions.

How would you play a lower pocket pair ie 99 or TT in this spot?

How would you play this if you got raised on this flop?

I also think you played the hand well:

He seems to call 3B quite liberaly. If we assign him the following calling 3B range ip: {AA, 66-JJ, ATs-AQs, AJ-AQ, 98s-QJs, JTo}

you have 66% equity on the flop. I don't see him calling your three bet to give up to your CB on a Q high board. He most likely floats you there with almost his entire range, and you give him a chance to hang himself on the almost blank turn, I like it.

Concerning your questions:
- I think TT-99 are still a call, with 99 against this range you have around 45% equity, more than you need to call. However, I won't be thrilled to call...

- If he raises the flop, it's a different story. He seems reasonably aggressive in 3bet pots, I don't expect him to raise less than a nice draw. Although you only need around 40% equity I think it's a clear fold.

Pockets from 77 - JJ are all more or less the same in this spot. Against a Q they are all crushed, against a draw they have more or less the same equity. The lag is not going to push with a pocket from 77-JJ here anyway. I think it's ok how you played it.
