Villain is a truly maniac.

$0.05 NL - Holdem - 8 players

CO: 85.6 BB (VPIP: 50.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 12)
BTN: 98 BB (VPIP: 50.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 2)
SB: 28 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: -, Hands: 3)
BB: 23.6 BB (VPIP: 20.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 15)

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) UTG has Q♣ J♥

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has T♥ T♠
UTG raises to 2 BB, fold, fold, Hero calls 2 BB, CO calls 2 BB, fold, SB calls 1.6 BB, BB calls 1 BB

playing for set value. I saw villain stacking off flop with TPGK and some weaker holding against other players.
I used to raise 88-TT against those mini raises, but that lead to a difficult spot to play post, if the board had any overcard that was not a A or a K.
I guess I'd raise against someone capable of folding.

Flop: (10 BB, 5 players) T♣ Q♠ 3♥
SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets 2 BB, Hero raises to 6 BB, fold, fold, fold, UTG calls 4 BB
Questions and thoughts:

Spoiler

With that many players behind me, I wouldn't slowplay and get outdrawed here. That said, I'd would like to build a big pot against the maniac.

Turn: (22 BB, 2 players) 5♣
UTG bets 2.2 BB, Hero raises to 15.2 BB, UTG calls 13 BB
Questions and thoughts:

Spoiler

No freecard and building the pot. Should I go bigger? Overbet?

River: (52.4 BB, 2 players) A♥
UTG bets 52.4 BB, Hero calls 52.4 BB
Questions and thoughts:

Spoiler

I hated that card, but I was willing to call almost any bet of this villain.
That said, I saw maniacs play that river in different ways. Some bet pot or overbet when they don't have anything. Some do it when they hit their draw.
I couldn't come up with a general guideline for this spot, against this type of players.

Spoiler

UTG shows Q♣ J♥ (One Pair, Queens)
(Pre 44%, Flop 6%, Turn 0%)
Hero wins 149.4 BB

Nh.
Not folding river against a dumbo with a set here.

I would most likely raise flop and turn even more like 60%-70% pot against a fish with in mind to get the money in on the river.

Cheers,
