Hey People, I'm new here and want to improve my poker game to crush on the cash games and later on the tournaments.

PokerStars - $0.02 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players

Hero (BTN): 100.5 BB
SB: 94 BB (VPIP: 100.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 1)
BB: 100 BB (VPIP: 13.10, PFR: 7.14, 3Bet Preflop: 3.85, Hands: 87)
UTG: 119 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 8)
MP: 122.5 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 7)
CO: 250 BB (VPIP: 33.33, PFR: 33.33, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 6)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 9♥ A♥

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 2.5 BB, SB raises to 8 BB, fold, Hero calls 5.5 BB

Flop: (17 BB, 2 players) A♦ 7♠ 2♥
SB bets 6 BB, Hero calls 6 BB

Turn: (29 BB, 2 players) K♥
SB bets 21 BB, Hero calls 21 BB

River: (71 BB, 2 players) J♣
SB bets 59 BB and is all-in, fold

Spoiler

SB wins 68.5 BB
Rake paid 2.5 BB

My thougts: I opened from the BTN (A9s) so my range was wide from the villain, I got raised and gave only a call with my suited A. Flop comes and he bets half pot, on the Turn he bets 3/4 and I had improved to top pair and nut flush draw, River comes a J and villain goes all in for less than the pot, I fold.

My villain range was: Since he is the SB and I had the possition against him, I think than his raise range should but a little tight there. range I put him (55+,A2s+,K9s+,Q9s+,J9s+,T9s,98s,A5o+,K9o+,QTo+,J9o+).

If I run it on Equilab I would ended up with 65% on the river against 34% of the villain. But I don’t see him betting there with less than a AT, AK or KJ since than he bets 3/4 on the turn when the K comes.

gg.

Pre-flop is already a tricky call, but as played I would fold the turn for sure against a unknown. I don't think he would ever bet with a weaker Ax hand.

SKD, folding Ax's IP vs 3bets is very nitty. Call all day long.
Very difficult spot OTT. Fold here should be very very exploitable, but at NL2 it probably better.
Fold river as played.

Tricky call PF? I can only fold if he shows aces. Wired line 1/3 OTF and 80% OTT, I think it's close KK is possible, but he can also have heart draw, or even nothing. The call is OK, and of course good fold OTR. I like how you played the hand.

Ah yes and one more thing. Don't try to put unknowns, especially those with less than 100 BB stack on a range in situations like this one. Your calculatons will be very wrong for sure.

I think calling pre is fine as your IP with a suited A, It is defiantly a weird line what Villain has taken, i sometimes r turns like these and get a lot of folds but i only do so when i have info on the players i do this against and certainly not against unknowns, as played OTR you probably made the correct fold as now you only really have a bluff catching hand....
