Well, I saw this particular villain mini raising his strong hands pre and mini 4-betting some monsters.

$0.05 NL - Holdem - 6 players

SB: 53.8 BB (VPIP: 22.22, PFR: 11.11, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 9)
BB: 607 BB (VPIP: 19.51, PFR: 12.20, 3Bet Preflop: 8.00, Hands: 82)
UTG: 134.4 BB (VPIP: 13.33, PFR: 10.00, 3Bet Preflop: 12.50, Hands: 30)
MP: 89.6 BB (VPIP: 29.63, PFR: 11.11, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 27)
CO: 113.4 BB (VPIP: 53.85, PFR: 9.09, 3Bet Preflop: 9.68, Hands: 80)
Hero (BTN): 184 BB

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has A♦ Q♥

fold, fold, CO raises to 2.4 BB, Hero calls 2.4 BB, fold, fold
Thoughts and questions:

Spoiler

I saw this villain mini raising very strong hands, so I decided not to 3bet my AQ.

Flop: (6.2 BB, 2 players) 5♣ 3♦ 6♥
CO checks, Hero checks
Thoughts and questions:

Spoiler

When villain checked, I thought about donking big, but the board doesn't look so scary for AK and I think he would continue with any good pair and probably with AK as well.

Turn: (6.2 BB, 2 players) A♣
CO checks, Hero checks
Thoughts and questions:

Spoiler

To bet or not to bet on this turn? My plan here was to check here and bet the river

River: (6.2 BB, 2 players) 3♥
CO bets 10 BB, Hero calls 10 BB
Thoughts and questions:

Spoiler

Based on the read, when villain leads "big" on this river, should I fold?
It looked a lot like AK or better, but I couldn't let my TPGK go.

Spoiler

CO shows A♥ K♣ (Two Pair, Aces and Threes)

CO wins 25 BB

I think you played it fine untill the turn. Than I would bet for sure. i don't think he would check twice with 2 pair or better and you could get some value against Ax. River is nasty, but tough to fold 2 pair when he doesn't show any aggression post-flop so far.

Cheers,

IMHO if you 3 bet/fold pre flop, the hand plays easier.
As played why did you not bet the turn?
