Flop Pair of Aces with garbage kicker

As a rule of thumb, we try to play TAG poker -- Tight-Aggressive.

When you flat MP, you give BB superb pot odds.
So pre-flop, if you're going to play the hand at all, come in with a raise.
An open raise would typically be 3BB, plus 1 for each limper -- you can even go bigger if you want.

OTF, again aggression might help here -- you're actually ahead at that point, and they both have weak Aces.
The aggression OTF would be greatly aided had you been the aggressor pre-flop.

Nice fold on the turn.

I have moved your hand to our hand discussion forum. There fits it better.
Seems like a standard isolate against a MP that's posting the SB. he could do this with a weaker rainge than any 2. Further I recommend not posting the starting hands of villains. That could influence the feedback what you get and I agree with VorpalF2F.

Limp A7s preflop?
Always tough to fold TP OTF, but I would here. There's basically no cards that can help you.
You have position and he might stop betting and you can try a showdown, that's it.
Besides, we can never assign ranges to donkeys. He can do it with his 62o or AA, we never know.
As you limp preflop you did get exactly what you deserve.

"As you limp preflop you did get exactly what you deserve." LOL! I think that I am going to get that a lot when I post my hands. I used to always raise preflop as is normally suggested. But, I am having more win rate success by just limping and trying to wisely play post flop. I read some internet articles which suggest that limping may not be so bad. For instance I am getting much more action with AA by limping. Frequently somebody will raise my limp which gives me the 3 bet opportunity that I wanted. I did not get as many 3 bet chances with AA when I open raised.

Any bet size -- even limping -- has its place.

A guy named David Sklansky wrote that there are only 8 mistakes you can make:
 1. Checking when you should bet.
 2. Betting when you should check.
 3. Calling when you should fold.
 4. Calling when you should raise.
 5. Folding when you should call.
 6. Folding when you should raise.
 7. Raising when you should call.
 8. Raising when you should fold

Limping usually is mistake 3 or 4.

Limping is useful when you want to encourage another player to bet, as you point out. For this you need strong hands. With Ace-rag hands, you often encourage too many players to enter the pot, some of whom may dominate you (or worse, out-draw you)

It may also be useful when there are a lot of bets already in the pot, and you now have great odds to call.
