I'm currently on secondment in Africa and the local casino here hosts a variant of Caribbean Stud poker.
All rules and payouts are exactly the same as normal games, except for the fact that these casinos allow you to share your card information with other players at the table before showdown. It's a widely accepted practice in most casinos in this city.
Each table is permitted a maximum of 3-4 players (depending on the casino) each of which is dealt five cards. Players also see the dealers top card.
This effectively let's players determine which 16-21 cards are not in the deck or in the dealers hand and therefore gives them a huge advantage.
I'm just wondering how this affects the game statistically in terms of house odds and players odds. Surely this is exploitable?
How does the limit on the number of players permitted at each table affect the odds? Given that players are allowed to see each other's cards, this still offers an advantage over normal (Western) casino practices, right?
In addition to that, some casinos don't their replace card decks often and as a result, the back of cards are often worn and players can determine whether a number of cards have been dealt to the dealer or remain in the deck.
Any advise / strategy on how to exploit this advantage?
