Happy new year to every-one. That your wishes may come true.

This year I will continue working on my goals.

1 I found a parttime job in 2019 and I will expand the number of hours that I work.

2 In January I will contact an acquantaince of mine who told me last month, that he probably will have a house for rent in February. If that house is better than where I live now, I will move to that house.

3 I will continue to take shots at a higher stake.
I will work on my mindset and learn to prevent tilting.
Always believe that good things will happen, even if I have a setback.

Thanks guys.
Climbing the mountain is going up and down and you can't always see the top. But you have to go on. So is poker.
Tomek you are right, we have to keep learning: I strive to get gold status again to continue learning with W34z3l.

The first week of 2020 went quite well.
I had a good run on NL4.
I took a shot on NL10. I had to fold some hands because of big aggression and also lost a BI with AA vs 66 who rivered a set.
So back to NL4.

Profit 1st week 2020: + $52

It was an average week, nothing special.
I have to start some purposeful practice conform Tricia Cartner.
What is purposeful practice?
Repeat attempts to reach beyond my current skilllevel, which is associated with frequent failures.
Get one certain thing better; train that thing actively.
An attainable, specific goal for each study session.
This week I will focus on which hands I defend when I am 3betted.

January was just an average month with struggles.
But climbed a little bit with $53 profit.
I got to 400 pokerstrategy Points, so just not enough for Gold Status.
In February I need to play a bit more hands to reach Gold.

What will be my purposeful practice in February?
The thing that I want to get better in February:
when I openraise SB and BB 3bets me, what hands to 4bet and what hands to call.

The motivational video from last Monday inspired me to live like a king at King's. So I made a reservation for a weekend in March at King's! :f_grin: :f_tongue:

Hi adelaar,
Where (or what) is King's?

It is the biggest and most beautiful Casino in Europe! It is in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.
Last October it hosted the WSOP.

February was better than January. My profit was $85.

In March I play less on Unibet and more on Bwin and strive to make more volume.

I had a reservation in King's for next week. And now everything in Europe is down. King's Casino is closed today. Czech Republic has closed the borders. My reservation has been cancelled. So you can understand that I am angry about it.

Here in the Netherlands the government has decided that all the casino's and libraries etc have to close. These measurements are completely disproportional.

This is really a kind of global mass hystery and craziness. Corona causes less symptoms than an ordinary flu. Generally only weak sick people will die, like they would die because of a flu.
A normal healthy person will have fever a few days and will be better again. The immune system will conquer the virus.
So now the whole population must suffer of closing down almost all social activities, only to save may be a few thousands of people that are already sick with other diseases. On a global population of 9 billion.... This is mass hystery.

But let's see the good side of closing the borders: a lot less airplanes and a lot less pollution.

That totally sucks -- but I imagine that the same thing will happen here.

All North American Pro sports are shut down.

My wife and I have a retreat booked for our 40th anniversary on April 5 - 9

Hopefully we'll be able to take it as planned.

Let's hope that things will go back to normal again in April. And that you can celebrate your 40th anniversary on 5th April.

I agree it sucks that everything's being shut down, but to be fair the biggest issue isn't necessarily the symptoms, it's the rate of contamination. If big events, gatherings and public places wouldn't be shut down, the pressure on health care that's already huge atm would become even more insane. Chances are most people will eventually be contaminated at some point, but it's better to have that spread out over a longer period of time.

I don't like it either, hate the fact that my volleyball competition has been paused and that I can't go to watch Ajax play tomorrow, but I can't think of any better solutions.

Think of it this way, at least with all those people staying home, perhaps there will be more fun players at the (online) tables :)

also wtf is up with people buying a lifetime worth of toiler paper

Yes TjTheTj , maybe these coming weeks there will be a lot of action online!
And thanks for the tip of " hamsteren" a lot of toilet paper :f_tongue:
Just to annoy Mark Rutte :f_biggrin::f_biggrin:
Let's just play the game of mass hystery and troll around :f_p:
