Profitable Bluff Spots on Microstakes

Hand 2:

Here, villain is a well known reg, 1,3k/21/16/3B:9, he C-bets flop 62%, C-bets turn 71%. This session he was 3-betting a lot pre-flop, so I widen my call range a little bit and go for it.

Flop looks pretty dry, I don't think he has much strong hands on his range there so I call planning to take the pot on the turn.
OTT the board pairs, but the 2 of hearts doesn't change it that much. His bet looked to me very polarized, he either had a big overpair or set of tens or a total bluff. Looking at his turn c-bet stats, it does seem like theres more bluff combos than value combos here, so I raise all-in to put maximum pressure on him, and it works out.

Maybe this one was also too risky to pull off, but it worked out. These ones seem to work more often against the regs.

Anyway, looking forward to your takes on those hands. And its always nice to note that I rarely pull off these moves, as my reading skills are still pretty unreliable.

First hand you could 3bet as well and fold to a 4bet, but folding against a short stack isn't bad ether. It depends a little bit how aggressive he is. Calling is a little bit tricky with still 4 players behind and Ato isn't playing so well post-flop. As played I would fold on the 3bet without position. Post-flop I wouldn't bluff to often on NL2 against a unknown with still decent outs on the river to get a straight or weak flush.

2nd hand against a reg is decent, but I'm no fan of making marginal plays out of position against a reg. I prefer to make a 4bet/fold or fold right away pre-flop with no position on him On NL2 is that not a winning line I think. You can better try to win money against the weaker players on the table.

I'd like to know more about that 4-bet/fold line... Why is this a good option on that situation? From my point of view it would turn my hand into a bluff as I don't see any flop where i'd be happy to continue betting on if I get called, and it would almost always commit my 100bb stack.

I agree with you that it's better to focus on the weaker players, but this means we should never pull of a play like this? His postflop stats seemed exploitable to me, so I thought it was fine to try one of these once in a while.
