Preflop: I'm not sure but it's either 3bet/fold or call. Benefits of 3betting is taking down the pot right away but by flatting we invite the fish to play.

As played..
Flop: Giving villain pessimistic range calling range OTF of: 99-JJ, AK, AQ, KQs makes us getting called/raised by 6 combos of sets, 8 combos of AQ & 6 combos of 2nd pairs & 12 combos of AK. (we split with KQs obviously).

Due to our lack of equity/very close spot I think we can check back and call a turn bet, except on an Ace and even make a tight fold here.

As played..
Turn: Turn is a blank because villain can't have any flushes here, unless he calls AJs PF, but it's only 1 combo.
I'd like a check here for the same reasons OTF, we won't get called by worse but we have SDV + equity with our FD. So easy check back.

River:
As played he obviously has something and when donking on the 4 card flush it's very likely he has the ace of clubs, simply because he would need to turn a pair into a bluff and I don't see that happening often at all.
So even though we have the 2nd nut flush and only need to be good 25% of the time we should fold. Because we don't beat any value nor does he bluff enough (in general)

Conclusion:
PF: Flat to invite fish.
Flop: 6 sets, 8 AQ, 12 AK, 6 JJ. We have 50.5% equity vs this range. But considering that he might 4bet AK I think a bet is very thin and would rather like a check back.
Turn: As played: Check back, we have sdv & won't get called by worse or fold better.
River: Very unlikely that villain turns a pair into a bluff or value bets a J high flush. So we should fold.

Hello,

Pf ok, you can just flat as well, your hand is strong enough to do that vs CO's range.
OTF I like the cbet, i'd make it just a bit smaller, like 9bbs max.
OTT your line does not make sense to me because you you went for 1/2 pot before and now you do that small bet. If you're "afraid" and believe you don't have another value bet, that check it behind. It's better than enlarging the pot size and put you in a difficult position OTR.
OTR I agree with the call, your hand is very strong and you're only loosing to A♣:x

I like to 3bet pre, but because of the fish (and if there are fish on SB&BB) I like a flat call aswell.

Flop ok,
Turn I like to bet higher to get value from SD, FD. I would go for 65-75% bet / fold to a raise.

River as played is a call for me.

Preflop could go either way. I like the 3bet IP because KQo doesn't play particularly well postflop and it has great blocking effects.
Flop ok, size could be a little smaller maybe.
Turn could be a bit bigger too.
River is interesting. He should have raised OTT with most flushes I think. He should bluff hands with the J♣: (AJo, KJo) and block bet some weak flushes like 76s. The 8♣: blocks some weaker hands he could have (T♣:8♣:, 9♣:8♣:, 8♣:7♣: ). You also block hands like K♣:T♣: or K♣:J♣:.
I think calling is the best play too, but I also expect so see the A high flush often or the nuts J♣:T♣:.

I like the pre-flop raise, CO can have a wider range trying to isolate the fish with a raise you take initiative and don’t invite the blinds to join the pot. KQo isn’t the strongest hand multi-way. When Villian check calls the flop I think he would raise this board with 2 pairs and sets. I think he would 4-bet you pre with AK, Villains flop check/calling range :

AJ,AT,KJ,KT,QJ,JT, J9

On turn I think you bet too small, he can call this bet with a wide rage which doesn’t really narrow his hand down for you to draw information, I think your ahead of a lot of his range still most of the stuff he called on the flop that isn’t suited clubs and we could expect a raise sometimes if he did turn a flush. I think on the river you have to call your getting 2:1 and he can hold some other hands like, JT j of clubs, KJ with J of clubs ,AJ with Ace of clubs or Jack of clubs,AT w ace of clubs,I think his range is split between holding J of clubs or A of clubs and you only need to be right 1 out of 3.

hmm maybe KJ would make a flop raise aswell, KJ with J of clubs would raise turn most likely so the he has mostly A of clubs in his hand with his AJ,AT,A9.His hands with J of clubs= QxJc,, JcTx, The Jc9x would probrably raise the turn too with tons of equity?so if we give him this range instead more of his holdings have the Ac

You’re the first to mention betsizing killacasey... Kudos... OP, you didn’t mention it once in your breakdown of the hand. It’s clear that little thought has gone into it.

Betsizing is all wrong here! If you’d have got it right you’d have gotten a fold on the flop, if not, the turn.

That 10bb bet on the flop was as disgusting as sucking on a sweaty sock. The turn betsize was even worse, you went and chewed that shit up.

There are loads of draws on and you gave them a sick-ass price to call! We’re you feeling generous? Thought you might help a brother out? In reality he had a terrible hand on the flop, a gutshot, he was oop in a 3bp and you gave him an ok price to call! Fuck, how cheap you wonna make it for Jx to call too!??

On the river you were “unluckily” made to swallow the defeat...

You may think you need to go away and study some betsizing guides but this is actually wrong. It’s this that caused your mistake. It’s these guides that taught you to “cbet small ip in big 3bp”.

What you need to do is fill the hole in your thought-process: You neglect the future. You don’t consider future streets enough. If you had, you would have realised on the flop that you wanted this one all-in by the turn at the latest.

FWIW I don’t mind checking back the flop but I think it’s a slightly worse play. It’s not gonna save you a stack when he has the nuts because he can get you in with 2 streets!!
