Home Game

Well, I know you're expecting this, but I'll give it to you anyway.

If you don't like the game, don't play it.

With that out of the way, home games are more of a social thing than a poker thing.
Am I right?
If that is the case, don't sweat it so much -- just enjoy the company, laugh when you lose (and never laugh at 'em when you win )

I would suggest though, that from a strategy point of view, something like Hold'em Resources Calculator might help you figure out ranges for that structure.
It used to have a free on-line version but it seems to be gone.

Thanks, I do enjoy the social aspect. I'm used to playing online which is obviously much more anti social.

You could ask the host of the home game he/shecould change the blinds format.
Like 20 minutes or elimination per blind level and than for example:
25-50
50-100
75-150
100-200 ante 25
150-300 ante 25
200-400 ante 50
300-600 ante 50
400-800 ante 75
500-1000 ante 100
600-1200 ante 100
800-1600 ante 150
1000-2000 ante 200

Than you have more room to move. Off course I don't know how long everyone wants to play and you can remove the antes if you play HU.

Off course the social part is more important, but improving the poker game could be a nice idea.
