Bankroll management for satelites and are they +EV at all?

I think satellites are def +EV
My biggest ever tournament cash came as a result of a satellite I entered for practice.

For me if your play for a ticket you need to have 100buy in of amout of the ticket (exemple, you win a 2€ ticket, you need to have 200€ to play your ticket).
For me ticket count for bankrool if you have 198+2e ticket, so you have 100 buy in of 2€ ^^
On pokerstars you can unregister for convert register in T€, so in this case just need 100buy in of amout of your sat.

yea, sounds like I would play a regular cheaper tournament, hit first place and go instantly limits up. So those sattelites are maybe just same thing, just tricking people into playing MTTs higher than bankroll allows ? only payout structure is so that less places win, and those win bigger prizes.
So then maybe I should stick to MTTs by my bankroll using 100 bi rule. And if playing sattelites, play for tickets which would mean 100 bi rule also.

had not watched, and also one is gold I see, I think for me its not worth now to spend money on getting gold with the amount of tournaments I play these days. I am really not even sure what time ratio learning to play should be when I practically play only on weekends for fun. Of course I do not want to get crushed, so need to learn at least little.

This isn't always true on PokerStars.
For some Satellites, you must play the target tournament.

My concern is that if one wins a ticket, one will be playing against a pool of players with a skill level much higher than accustomed to.
You might -- for example -- have a bankroll of a couple of hundred dollars, and win a satellite costing $1.10 that pays a ticket to a $109.
The players in the $109 have experience playing at this level.

As long as you keep that in mind, you're fine.

I'm not knocking satellites -- my two biggest cashes came from satellites.

but that also means other bad players come from those satelites and 109$ mtt has those which is good hting. Of course it makes it harder. But when playing recreationally it is good.
Maybe it is more +EV to play 109 bi MTT even if you dont have enough skill , than playing a lottery or casino which lot of people do ?

Just saying thay last Sunday Milion winner won his ticket from a satelite. Just saying.

For sure -- just be aware that you may be "getting in over your head".
If you *do* have the skill, but not the $$, then satellites are a perfect answer, since you are more likely to win the satellite with your massive skillz

TBH I totaly agree with what everyone says. Just @SPeedFANat1c seems to be a recreational player who plays during the weekends. If that was the case for me I would mix some satelites from time to time - I wouldn't play them exclusively - and if I would get a ticket I would play the torunament. Because that's emotions, that's fun
