You are extreme shallow to make check/raise moves like this on the flop. If I would do it I would shove here with in mind you are committed if he would shove on you. Off course you can't really call if he would do that even for only 2.684 more with almost 0 change to win. A shove pre-flop could work too if he's a passive fish.
